Privacy Policy

What we don't collect (everything you type), what automatically exists, and how cookies and ads work here.

Overview

TextForge is built to minimize data collection. The tools run entirely in your browser: the text, hashes, and values you enter are never transmitted to us or stored on our servers. This policy explains the limited data that does exist when you visit.

What You Type

Everything — texts, passwords being hashed, strings being encoded, numbers being converted — is processed locally with JavaScript. Nothing is uploaded, logged, or retained anywhere. Closing the tab leaves no trace on any server.

Automatically Collected Information

Like nearly all websites, our hosting provider and content delivery network may temporarily process standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and pages requested. This is used for security, load balancing, and abuse prevention, and is retained only for short operational periods by the provider.

Cookies and Advertising

We use a small local storage flag to remember your cookie-banner choice. If advertising is displayed on this site, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.

Third-Party Libraries

Some tools load open-source libraries (the crypto hashing library, the bcrypt implementation) from public CDNs. These are standard script loads and carry no data from you beyond what any web request exposes.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
